MAKi Glossary

MAKi introduces a new workflow paradigm where conversation becomes execution.
Here are the core terms you’ll encounter while using MAKi.

Workspace

The top-level space for your organization.
All Hubs, members, billing, and settings are managed at the Workspace level.

Hub

A project-, team-, or client-based execution space.
All chats, files, docs, tasks, calendar items, and AI insights live inside each Hub.

Chat

MAKi’s primary interface.
Every conversation can automatically turn into tasks, documents, schedules, or insights.

To-do / Task

An executable action item detected automatically from chat or created manually.
All tasks are stored and organized in the right-side Data Bucket.

Data Bucket (Right Panel)

The real engine of MAKi.
A panel where all To-dos, Docs, and Files mentioned in chat are automatically sorted and organized.

Sub-task

A smaller actionable unit under a main Task.
Use this to break down larger responsibilities into clear steps.

Calendar View

A smart calendar that displays all task dates created from conversation.
If you say it in chat, it appears on your calendar.

Docs

Documents created inside MAKi.
You can convert chat into a Doc or create one directly.
Supports markdown, collaboration, AI summarization, and instant task extraction.

Record to Doc

Record offline meetings or voice notes and instantly generate:
→ transcription
→ meeting summary
→ extracted To-dos
All in one step.

File Library

A centralized repository of every file shared in a Hub.
Images, PDFs, spreadsheets, and assets are automatically organized by type and date.

Image Feedback Board

MAKi’s visual feedback viewer.
Click any point on an image to leave precise comments that automatically become tasks.
Supports AI image generation and version comparison.

MAKi Intelligence (AI)

Your embedded project manager and collaborator.
Performs summarization, task detection, document generation, image creation, file analysis, and workflow automation.

Flow Dashboard

A visualization of organization-wide workflow health:
workload, bottlenecks, delays, priorities, and task distribution.
It functions like the CT/MRI of your team.

For You

A personalized inbox that gathers everything you must see:
mentions, deadlines, assigned tasks, and important updates.

MCP Integration (Coming Soon)

MAKi’s extension protocol that lets AI directly execute actions across external tools and business systems.
Examples: create calendar events, update files, pull data, run automated workflows.
